Keep calm and breathe
Today I saw something we don't want to see.
This morning, it was snowing lightly. Not a lot, but still annoying when you're driving early in the day. As I was going to the appointment for my truck, I drove slower than usual, just in case. I didn't mind the busy driving around from the stressed-out drivers as I kept my distance.
I arrived at a 2 lanes intersection that merges in 1, and as I was progressing towards the road, a car in front of me caught the side of the road with its front right tire the,n the driver oversteered and spun out of control in front of the big dump truck on its left.
It happened in an instant.
It's crazy how fast something like that can happen. Like in life, you try your best to do what's good, and you hope everything will be alright.
Accidents are bound to happen in many forms, but it doesn't mean we have to like them. Just as the numerous obstacles during a lifetime, we have to face them and find a solution or call for help.
It's easy to say when you simply witness a situation compared to when you're actively living it. We might react differently under stress.
Practicing to be slightly detached from an event, not completely disconnected as it could have the same effect as if we're overwhelmed by it: we're frozen or not doing anything.
So being able to observe it all with an outsider's eye could be beneficial so you can see the bigger picture and have, hopefully, a clearer head.
What do you think? Let me know.
