Never enough gratitude...
Most of us know that kids can be ungrateful at times, right? Well, I felt like a kid the other day and not in a glorious way.
Without gratitude it feels like nothing is enough, you always want more, you always want the latest gadget, you always need it because you think you just do but in fact, you probably won’t use it and it will stay on the shelf, collecting dust.
That’s the sad part of all of this. Here I am complaining about how I need more hardware and faster computers while a group of very talented Nigerian are making great videos (https://youtu.be/Z4dfVgFsjQc) with a broken phone, slow computer, bad Internet and power. And I am complaining?
Wow! It’s amazing how ungrateful I feel right now and I have to change that.
Someone said they did their best with what they had and that’s why it’s amazing because they did a great job with slow hardware on which rendering effects or a movie could take two days. They still did it! Patience, perseverance, convictions, and aiming for the goal are what they did.
The truth is I both feel a bit jealous and also like I deserve this slap in the face to wake me up because I’m not doing enough and I know it.
I’m grateful I saw this video. As Mel Robbins said, sometimes we need to parent ourselves because we never feel like doing something, ever. So now what I need to do is use this as an example and be my own parent, a stricter one that can help and guide me to do more.
What do you think? Let’s talk!
