Pushing through regardless
Today, I felt a bit more hopeful about what I could achieve.
My focus has been way too narrow lately: I focused on ways to make money, but only at the theoretical level, nothing concrete.
Simply talking about doing something won't help unless it's followed by action. When we hear all those motivational gurus drilling these in our heads, we might feel good initially, but then we go back home, go back to reality, and realize we actually have to do the work.
I feel I can't make progress most of the time, but whose fault is it? Mine, of course. I'm the one in control of that, after all.
Being able to do the work is the goal, but it often feels somewhat painful to think about it. Regardless of the pain, having the courage to push through is needed.
Again, it's easier said than done, but I feel more courageous today, even if it's just a tiny bit. I was able to do what we could consider an additional rep with the day's tasks, and for that, I feel good. Focusing more on my current job is what I decided to do, and that's one area I can definitely improve on. Becoming better, all the way.
It's not necessarily just the amount of work you do per day that counts, but were you able to do a better job today than yesterday, and can you say you gave it your all? If the answer is yes, you did a good job; keep going.
What do you think? Let me know.
