The journey
I want to create new things, but I don’t see myself doing it as often as possible.
I was feeling down lately with creativity and the will to simply want to do something out of thin air. Then, I realized I just felt uninspired.
I say that, but I don’t consider all those little moments I was able to create something new like a poem or write a nice quote. It means I decided to focus on what I didn’t have or do instead of what I achieved.
It’s easy to feel like we’re not making progress, but we tend to quickly forget what we were able to do in the long run.
It’s very simple to forget the journey you travelled so far and just feel the pain in your sore back and feet: at this moment, it might be how you feel, but it doesn’t represent the whole picture. It doesn’t show you how much struggle you went through and how you overcame it and pushed through.
Let’s press pause to look around and appreciate this moment to see beyond it. Not everything is as it seems. Just like you can’t judge a book by its cover, you can’t simply take a moment in time at face value: put it in perspective and really look into it to see what is needed to be created for you to arrive and achieve so much up until now.
The destination is one thing, but the journey is enjoyable, so make it the greatest.
You got this!
